Our commitment to children's privacy

The Merevale Creek Farm series is designed for children aged 6-9. The safety and privacy of young readers is our highest priority. This policy explains how we handle children's information and what safeguards are in place.

Forms must be completed by a parent or guardian

Our books are for readers aged 6-9. Any form on this site that involves personal data must be completed by a parent or guardian, regardless of the child's age. The interactive features on this website, including the notification form and the Butterfly Question submission form, are intended for adults only.

If you believe a child has submitted personal information without parental involvement, please contact us immediately at info@merevalecreekfarm.com and we will delete it within seven days.

Parental guidance

We encourage parents and guardians to supervise their children's use of this website. In particular:

• The Butterfly Question form must be submitted by a parent or guardian, using the parent's email address. If you include the child's first name and it is selected to be featured, submitting the form is your consent to that name appearing on the site.
• The Register your interest form is for adults wishing to be notified when books are available.
• The Reader's Field Notes, Ladybird Hunt, and Games sections do not collect any personal data.

Featured ideas

If a child's butterfly idea is selected to be featured on the website, we will only display the child's first name (if provided) and their idea. No other personal information will be shown. Featured ideas will not be used in marketing, social media, or future publications without separate parental consent.

Featured ideas remain on the site for up to two years. If you wish to have a featured idea removed at any time, email us at info@merevalecreekfarm.com and we will remove it within seven days.

Our data practices

This site does not profile children, use behavioural advertising, track location, share data with third parties, or use design techniques that encourage children to provide more information than is necessary. Forms collect only what is needed to deliver the specific feature.
